understanding graphs of photo

Our mid-semester examination ended today and one week vacation started. Trying to make my involvement more with the photography by understanding the nifty-gritty of the SLR cameras and the various tools and techniques for better photography. Understanding images, reason for their particular size, compression techniques, internal structure/mechanism, working principles and loss-less image formats are just amazing. I will go some-what in more depth tomorrow.
