should HP’s TouchPad embrace Android 4.1 :
Web OS was(however its still alive!) an amazing platform which HP could harness to become big player in mobile industry. Now web os has nothing to do with giving any kind of competition to the current mega heroes(android and ios). Now web os is open source and HP can use the power of community development. But at the same time open source world is also being cluttered with new mobiles operating systems. Mozilla is coming with its own os and Tizen may be released somewhere this year on devices. In this situation there is little probability that HP can get anything good in mobile industry unless it come up with some really amazing and groundbreaking products. Android is doing extremely well and backed by Google. I think Tizen will also be able to pose significant image in the market as it is under the umbrella of ‘The Linux Foundation’. There’s left little chance for HP. If HP embrace Android then it has to come up with great hardware to compete samsung. If it goes with its own adopted child, web os, then it will have to manage both but then it can serve something different with better os(if possible) on good hardware.
Or the best thing HP can do is to just wait and watch and leave the playground for other players.
